Last.fm scrobbling from LMS with no Internet

I'm thinking of buying a Raspberry Pi to setup in combination with a USB hard drive as a portable LMS. In situations where I won't have Wi-fi available, does the Last.fm plugin queue up Scrobbles to send out when Wi-fi is next available, or will it simply fail to Scrobble any tracks I've played when not on Wi-fi?
