Hello,
I have been using Erland's plugins for about 8 or 9 months and everything is just about as I want it, but in the past few days I have added 3 new albums with previously unused values in the Genre tag. These do not seem to be picked up by the custom scan, however I can find them using the standard Logitech browses (e.g. for Genre or New Music). So if the basic software can see them, why not the Custom Scan or Browse?
Does anyone have any idea where I might start looking for causes?
By the way, this is the first time that I have introduced new genres into the collection since I got the Custom Scan and Custom Browse working at the end of last year, so I guess there may have been an error lurking since then; however, as I said, the standard Logitech software can find the albums/files perfectly well.

OK My mistake ... although it takes a lot of remembering to get these things right ... I had forgotten, of course, that the library definitions in Erland's Multi-Library plugin contain a list of tags, and tick-boxes for selecting them in scans. At least, unlike some other audio software I have used, the plugin gives you an up-to-date list of the tag values, Genre in this case, and all you have to do is tick them and everything is fine; no need even for a re-scan of the library.
So, yes there is a lot to remember (this has been bothering me for over a day), but the function is there and adding new Genres is straightforward, even easy once you have found the library definitions; but thanks again to Erland, I still think these plugins lack some polish, but, and it is a massive BUT, the only way I can sort/display/browse my classical music in any reasonable method is with those plugins - they are essential - thank you Erland.
