AcrossTheTracks is a music based crossword puzzle game that interfaces to a Squeezebox system for music playback.
There's lots more information on my web site: http://acrossthetracksgame.co.uk and you can try a cut down version of the game there.
To run the full game, the AcrossTheTracks software needs to be installed on a Linux box on your home network. A Raspberry Pi works particularly well for this as you can plug its HDMI output into your TV for the game display. You can then use a browser on your tablet to control the game and, of course, your existing Squeezebox for the music, providing you run your own copy of LMS.
I originally wrote the code for my own amusement but others have enjoyed playing the game and encouraged me to think about making it more widely available.
At this stage I'd like to run a Beta trial with a limited number of installations, say 6 - 10. I believe the software is now reasonably stable but I'm sure there are still bugs waiting to emerge, especially when run in a different environment. Hence the Beta trial.
If you're interested in being a Beta trialist then please get in touch using the contact info on the acrossthetracksgame.co.uk web site.
Thanks,
Peter
